Mt. Diablo Unified School District will hold a free 2022-2023 Conference for students’ parents

Concord, California – The Mt. Diablo Unified School District is planning to hold a free 2022-2023 Conference on August 13 at the Loma Vista Center, located at 1266 San Carlos Ave. in Concord. This conference is intended for families of students in grades TK through high school.

The following will be part of the event:

  • Lamont Francies, who will talk about “Families, schools, and communities” as a keynote speaker.
  • Several workshops covering a wide range of topics, including early childhood, primary, middle, and high school, special education, general parenting, English Learners, and Afghanistan-specific concerns.
  • At the event, the District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department will give out free lunches, most likely in boxes.
  • Free daycare services are available on-site for children aged 3 to 10. (no diapers, please).
  • Free giveaway of backpacks and school supplies
