Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office supports Bay Point Community Resource Fair with outreach and emergency preparedness information

Bay Point, California – Residents of Bay Point had the chance to explore a wide range of free services and community programs during the 2026 Bay Point Community Resource Fair, which brought together dozens of organizations dedicated to supporting families across Contra Costa County.

The event took place last Saturday at the Ambrose Community Center, where the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office, the Community Warning System, and the Sheriff’s Office Office of Emergency Services participated by providing outreach, information, and emergency preparedness resources.

According to organizers, this year’s fair featured more than 90 community organizations and resource partners, giving visitors a convenient place to learn about the many programs and services available throughout the county.

Free resources and family activities available

The fair offered a variety of free resources designed to help residents with everyday needs while connecting them with local support organizations.

Families were able to receive backpacks and school supplies, fresh groceries, professional portraits, and free haircuts. Visitors also had access to health and wellness information, workforce and career resources, emergency preparedness guidance, and child identification kits. Community members could also meet with organizations that provide local assistance and learn about programs available in their neighborhoods.

Children attending the event had plenty of entertainment as well, with bouncy houses and other family-friendly activities creating a fun atmosphere throughout the day.

Officials said the event was designed to make it easier for residents to access important services by bringing many different organizations together in one location.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed its appreciation to everyone who helped make the event possible, including community members, volunteers, partner organizations, and participating agencies.

Deputies and staff from the Sheriff’s Office Muir Station also thanked the Bay Point community for its continued support, saying they remain committed to serving local residents and strengthening relationships through events that connect people with valuable resources and assistance.

By gathering dozens of service providers under one roof, the annual community fair gave residents an opportunity to discover helpful programs, receive free services, and build stronger connections with organizations working to improve the quality of life throughout Contra Costa County.
