Fire crews responded to a hazardous materials incident at a Fremont business

Fremont, California – Fremont Fire Department spokesperson Aisha Knowles said that fire crews were sent in response to a report of a hazardous materials incident at a company on Tuesday.

It was around 9:47 a.m. when firefighters were sent to Lam Research on Cushing Parkway to deal with the situation.

Firefighters helped evacuate nearly a quarter of the building after an alarm was activated.

A crew trained to deal with hazardous materials got into the building in order to determine whether a danger existed or not.

There have been no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
