Regular operations resumed at SFO after authorities searched the airport and removed suspicious packages
San Francisco, California – Officials say that the international terminal of San Francisco International Airport has reopened after being evacuated due to a bomb threat on Friday night.
The mayhem began at around 8:15 p.m. after police responded to the airport in response to a bomb threat and found a suspicious package. The discovery of the suspicious package forced authorities to immediately evacuate the international terminal. Additionally, the SFO BART station was also closed.
According to what the San Francisco police said, one person was detained and questioned.
Regular operations resumed at the terminal after officers searched the airport and the EOD squad removed several suspicious packages.
The investigation is underway and no arrests have been made at this point.
