One arrested after a shooting in Fremont, victim expected to make a full recovery
Fremont, California – One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting that took place earlier in the day in the Niles District of Fremont. A suspect in the shooting was taken into custody in Fremont on Saturday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson for the Fremont Police Department, the victim sustained a gunshot wound but is expected to make a full recovery.
The shooting took place on School Street, close to Bodily Avenue and next to Niles Community Park, at around 1:20 in the afternoon, and police officers rushed to the scene. A short time after the shooting, the suspect was located by the police.
According to the police, the shooting was targeted at the victim. The suspect is now in custody.
