COVID-19 test kits provided for Mt. Diablo Unified School District students to use before returning to classes

Concord, California – Every school in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District received quick COVID-19 test kits that will be given to students and employees in the district before the start of spring break on March 31st.

Officials said there will be no shortage of COVID-19 rapid tests because the district has provided test kits for every student and employee. They also want students to use the tests before they return to classes on April 11.

Anyone who has requested the test kits has the option of receiving them at their home or picking them up by March 31.

Two tests are included in each kit, and they must be done at home over the course of three days (April 8, April 9, and April 10) before school begins on April 11. Every student that turns out positive must remain at home and report the result to their school.

Students who show signs of COVID-19 are not allowed to go to school, even if they don’t have the virus, says the school district.

In addition, the district will continue to provide PCR COVID-19 testing at a limited number of school locations. During spring break, all of the usual PCR testing locations will be open Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays.

The complete testing schedule is available at https://mdusd.org/covidtesting/index.html.
