Bart line between Pleasant Hill and Concord closed due to track maintenance
Concord, California – Because of today’s track maintenance, anyone looking to travel between the Pleasant Hill and Concord BART stations will be required to transfer to a free bus.
Those who are traveling on the route should be prepared for delays of up to 25 minutes as a result of the extensive track upgrades that are being performed.
Since a partial derailment occurred in June as a result of the hot weather, trains have been forced to go through the region at a restricted pace.
On October 15-16 and again on October 29-30, there was a closure that was quite similar to this one. The general public has not been notified of any further closures that may take place.
As a result of the weather, we can anticipate shorter delays throughout the system today. Today’s forecast is for rain in the North Bay, although frost is possible in other parts of the region.
“There may be up to 10-minute delays systemwide due to wet weather conditions. Please watch your step on wet platforms and stairways,” officials said.
