Two Sacramento residents arrested following a catalytic converter theft

Petaluma, California – According to authorities, responding officers to a report of catalytic converter theft arrested two Sacramento residents as they were leaving Petaluma early Sunday.

According to Petaluma police, the theft occurred at 3:30 a.m. in the neighborhood of Southpoint Boulevard.

Officers noticed the suspects’ vehicle driving out of the city and pulled it down on US Highway 101 near Lakeville Highway.

According to police, the back seat had multiple catalytic converters, a car jack, and electrical equipment.

The suspects, who are 39 and 37 years old, were apprehended without incident on suspicion of stealing property and possessing burglary equipment. They were arrested and taken to the Sonoma County Jail.
