Authorities detained a Richmond man, Duglus Rodas-Reyes, 30, on Saturday morning after receiving assistance from the Richmond Police Department. According to officers, Rodas-Reyes is suspected of being the individual who struck the victim.
Witnesses and security cameras convinced police that a 2005 Dodge Magnum vehicle was involved in the incident. They tracked down the vehicle on Enterprise Avenue in Richmond, where they also recognized and apprehended Rodas-Reyes as he attempted to flee in the vehicle.
