Concord, Pittsburg, And Antioch Police Work Together To Combat DUIs
Concord, California – The Concord Police Department, Pittsburg Police Department, and Antioch Police Department are participating in a collaborative enforcement effort on Friday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
“Safety is our top priority, and increasing our presence on the roads helps keep the public safe during especially difficult times,” Lt. Mark Robison said. “We want everyone to be as safe as possible when they are out and remember to never drive impaired.”
Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.
Funding for this collaborative enforcement was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
