Concord boy arrested after leading police on chase in stolen vehicle

Concord, California – Law enforcement chased a 13-year-old boy from Concord after carjacking on Sunday morning. Eventually, the minor driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a decorative stone in front of Starbucks in Oakley.

At 2:55 a.m., Antioch police located a vehicle on L Street near Sycamore Drive that had been reported stolen during an Oakland carjacking.

They had been informed that the carjacking suspect or suspects had guns.

The driver led authorities on a chase through Antioch and Oakley before losing control of the stolen car, crossing the center median, and crashing into the Starbucks boulder.

Officers apprehended the 13-year-old who had fled the car.
