City of Concord announces new overnight parking garage hours near Todos Santos Plaza to help prevent vandalism

The City of Concord has introduced new operating hours for two public parking garages near Todos Santos Plaza in an effort to address ongoing problems with nighttime vandalism.

City officials announced that the updated schedule applies to the parking garages located at 2255 Grant Street and 2051 Salvio Street. Under the new hours, both garages will be open every day from 5:01 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. They will then close daily from 12:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m.

New schedule aims to improve safety

According to the city, the overnight closure is intended to help reduce vandalism that has continued to affect the downtown parking facilities during late-night hours.

Officials thanked residents and visitors for their patience as the changes are put into place, saying, “Thank you for your cooperation as we work to improve our downtown parking garages.”

Drivers planning to park near Todos Santos Plaza are encouraged to take note of the new hours and make travel arrangements accordingly. The city hopes the revised schedule will create a safer environment while helping protect the public parking garages from further damage.
