City of Concord recruiting two candidates for BPAC, the deadline for applications is March 15
Concord, California – During the meeting that took place in the middle of February, the Concord City Council made an announcement about the recruitment of candidates to fill two vacancies on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee for a period that would end on February 28, 2027. The deadline for applications submitted to the city clerk is set for 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
The Bicycling and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is responsible for reviewing grant proposals relating to pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure; reviewing the City’s progress on Plan implementation on an annual basis; and reviewing and providing advice on programs or policies relevant to the implementation of the City’s Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Safe Routes to Transit Plan, established in September 2016.
Five individuals serve four-year terms on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. Those interested in applying for the vacancies must be Concord residents and be enthusiastic about Complete Streets, cycling, and other alternative modes of transportation.
